While GLP-1s have established their reputation through diabetes and weight management, their role is evolving far beyond metabolic control. By also offering cardiorenal protection, these therapies are gaining recognition as versatile medications capable of addressing the interconnected nature of cardiorenal-metabolic disease. Unlike in pure metabolic conditions where GLP-1s may be used as monotherapy, in CKD and HF they are often better positioned as adjunct therapies, working with existing treatments to address the full spectrum of organ dysfunction.

In this paper, we use Ipsos real-world clinical data to illuminate how this positioning is already reshaping treatment strategies. What emerges is a clear signal: GLP-1s are already becoming integral components of the established combination regimens that define cardiorenal care.
